Yael advises a number of the industry’s fastest growing companies on how to establish market presence and category leadership, and accelerate revenue growth. Yael has worked with CEOs and senior executive teams at Cloudera, Medallia, Nexenta, Tintri and other companies funded by Accel, Andreessen Horowitz, Greylock, Lightspeed, Menlo Ventures, Redpoint, NEA, and Sequoia.

Yael is a seasoned executive with more than 20 years of experience in a variety of leadership roles. Most recently, she was Vice President of Marketing at VMware. As a member of the executive staff reporting to the CEO, she led corporate, channel, alliance and worldwide marketing teams. During her five years at VMware, she drove key initiatives that supported the company’s hyper growth from a multi-hundred million to a post-IPO multi-billion dollar company and the undisputed leader of virtualization software. Prior to VMware, Yael worked and held senior management positions at Sun Microsystems as well as product and engineering roles in other technology companies. Yael relishes incubating emerging technologies from inception and growing them to achieve wide market adoption.

Yael has a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of California at Berkeley, Haas School of Business.
